Jimmy Choo’s Spring Summer Safari

When BuyMyHeels surveyed 500 women and asked them who their favourite shoe designer is, one name popped up quite literally a 100 times more than all others; this name is a designer that all true heel lovers know, and invest a lot of lust filled window shopping time in. Jimmy Choo.

The campaign for the label’s spring summer collection is just another example of the brand’s knack for creating beautiful things that mesmerize you for days, with the stunning Crystal Renn lounging around with those beautiful shoes delicately worn on the end of those stunning bronzed legs of hers. Everyone knows that a good pair of heels and a little bit of fake bake can make any pair of legs look fabulous.

The shoes in the new collection draw inspiration from the recurring ‘tribal’ trend, with cut out prints in suede the colour of safari jackets, and the most glamorous strappy heels with stud embellishments set on red leather that is intertwined with woven black leather and hot pink snakeskin. The fusion of colours and textures on the heels is sure to have your feet crying out to be looked at, so with the oh so fashionable peep toes being a huge part of the collection, treating your tootsies to a good pedicure is a must.

If you’re not so confident about flashing your feet, then perhaps you’d like to opt for the collection’s sandy coloured suede shoe-boots, with gorgeous cut out patterns and tassels. Sure to look absolutely lush with a pair of chinos and a tie front shirt for those warm summer days.

I personally can’t wait for the summer, because with so many different warm weather heels on offer, I am so ready to trade in my boots and treat my feet to a few pairs…

Seeing a couple of fabulous pairs of Giuseppe Zanotti sandals appear in the BuyMyHeels shoe shop inspired me to have a look at what the fashion house has on offer for this season. And they certainly did not disappoint me in the amazing summer shoes stakes.

One thing Zanotti always has on offer are beautiful sandals, the kind of thing that makes me  lust to just hop on a plane to somewhere exotic and laze on a beach, with my beautiful sandals glinting in the warm sun.  Metallic is just one of the styles on offer though, although almost every pair would surely look fabulous paired with almost any outfit you slip into this summer. The ad campaign for the collection clearly sells the shoes as the perfect heels and sandals to be worn on a luxurious holiday, with the gorgeous Anja Rubik looking svelte and sexy wearing striking white beachwear (which is extremely on trend by the way) and metallic accessories with a serene ocean view in the background.

Basic black is a staple in the collection, and obviously makes the sandals so, so wearable. What doesn’t go with black? Don’t be fooled into thinking basic means boring though, the black in this collection comes decorated with diamantes, ribbons, and even when they are just simple straps, they still look beautiful; a veritable treat for the feet. Metallics are also prominent, with glinting silver and gold strappy heels that are sure to look absolutely dazzling in the summer sun, and whether it’s a trip to the beach with the girls, or a date with that sexy guy from the gym, metallics always leave you looking glamorous.

Prices start at around £390, and although that might seem a tiny bit pricey for some of us, I’d say that for shoes this classic, that are sure to see you right through the warmer months, they are well worth splashing out a little bit!

A Tropical Paradise, But For Your Feet.

“Women turn into birds of paradise at night” is the slogan for Kurt Geiger’s latest collection and with such a rainbow of tropical hues, the collection can help bring the summer sun straight from the sizzling tropical islands of the Caribbean and bring them into your shoe closet.

Just looking at the different colours in the collection transports you away to another land. They have heels in the dazzling yellow of radiant sunshine, all the shades of blue from the ocean; and enough pinks, greens, purples and reds to adorn several flocks of exotic bird. Soft, fabric flowers embellish the toes of several of the designs, and they too have come in enough different shades to mimic the foliage of all manner of exotic plant life.

The shoes themselves are simple yet beautifully designed, letting the colours do all the dazzling for them. There are some particularly nice wedges perfect for wearing with summer maxi-dresses and enjoying the sunshine, whether you’re just enjoying the long summer evenings in your back garden or, if you’re lucky enough to be jetting of somewhere warm, they’d be just wonderful for enjoying cocktails on the beach in some exotic country too. And with so many colours to choose from, it’s an absolute certainty you’ll find some that you will want to own.

If you’re absolutely dedicated to heels and heels alone, these gorgeous strappy heels in sunshine yellow make me feel very happy and summery, and I can just imagine them being worn with so many of the season’s sundresses. Perfect to bring a little sunshine into your life.

The collection is already available to buy, and prices start at just £100! Which sounds like an almost too-good-to-be-true bargain to me (Though I assure you I am not pulling your leg). The perfect payday treat, and so much cheaper than a trip to a tropical paradise...
