I’ve still been browsing this season’s resort collections; and let’s just say if you could overdose on shoe lust, I’d have been whisked off to intensive care by now. It’s no small thing that this season no designer has created a shoe that I would turn my nose up at; I’ve wanted almost everything that I’ve clapped eyes on.

In my top five collections, coming a close second to the luscious Louboutin’s I spoke about in my last post, is Jimmy Choo’s new offering. The collection even had me wanting a pair of Jimmy Choo tennis shoes. Me. Heel addict. Lusting after tennis shoes. That is no small feat.

This season’s Jimmy Choo’s are very natural, earthy tones: rich browns, and sumptuous nudes, embellished with precious stones and with straps that either fold over one another to meet more glittering diamantes; or even tiny silver stars. Gorgeous! The colour palette of the collection is absolutely timeless, a good pair of nude or brown strappy sandals or shoe boots (which the new collection has in a gorgeous python print with lace, yummy) will see you through season after season.

This season’s resort collections have done their turn on the runway, and I am positively salivating over Christian Louboutin’s collection. A remix on the spring/summer collection, with the usual sprinkling of glitter, studs and sex appeal. That gorgeous platform shape that we already saw on the earlier season’s ‘Daffodile’ (which we will never get bored of, given the money I would buy two dozen pairs and live in a fort made from the boxes) but this time we were given it in a sexy slingback style with open toes. The new Louboutin slingback comes in gingham, denim and a gorgeous patent leather rainbow that’s got me twitchy to find some way to own a pair (anyone know the legality of selling a kidney?).
