Sergio Rossi

Sergio Rossi Autumn/Winter 2011

Sergio Rossi rocks up with the big boys when it comes to shoe design; creating something as elaborate as can be, and yet, nothing he ever creates is too ‘out there’. Well, it probably is for some, there are people who prefer to keep to their plain block colour heels (and there’s nothing wrong with that, I’m currently working on a rainbow shelf in my shoe cupboard, someone find me something nice in a green and I’ll owe you my eternal love and gratitude).

Rossi’s fall collection is definitely not for the faint of heart; the aptly named ‘Carnival Glory’ popped up in my facebook feed just yesterday and it made me believe that there genuinely is such a thing as love at first sight. The funfair inspired collection features more chequered patterns and polka dots than you could shake a clown at; as well as some very sensual waves of fabric to envelope your feet. Monochrome features heavily in the collection, which is great for anyone who’s colour shy. But for those of us that like to bring some colour into their lives, there are the gorgeous blue heels pictured above, which are absolutely lush (I’m wondering if I can pass them off as indigo in my shoe rainbow if I win the lottery this weekend)

Prices on the collection are upwards of £600, and everything can be bought (or just drooled over if you’re as skint as I am) at www.sergiorossi.com
